Stage Selection and Match Procedure
- On the first match of every set, players will begin the match procedure by selecting the stage.
- Players play rock-paper-scissors (best-of-one), and the winner may choose to strike first or second.
- Players then strike Starter stages in the following order:
- Player 1 strikes 1 stage
- Player 2 strikes 2 stages
- Player 1 strikes 2 stages
- Player 2 strikes 1 stage
- For the second or third games of each set, the winning player bans 2 stages, and the loser selects from any of the remaining Starter or Counterpick stages.
- For games two and beyond, players select stage first, then the winner can announce a character change, then the loser can announce a character change.
